Any Device
OKeez controllers will run on all recent smart phones and tablets as web apps or soon as cloud-compiled native apps for iOS, Android, Palm, Symbian, Meego, Bada and Blackberry, available from the official app stores. Use controllers in combination with your keyboard (with a smart phone), or use more elaborate controllers for applications and games without a keyboard (with a tablet).
OKeez turns your portable, mobile device, such as a smart phone or pad, into a wireless controller for computers, applications, presentations and games. This can mean:
- a Touch-capable mobile device, like an iPhone or an Android device
- a Touch-capable tablet or pad, like an iPad or a Windows Tablet
- a Touch-capable Media Player, like a Music Pod
- any non-touch capable portable device that has a built-in web browser
Generally speaking, if your portable device supports connecting to a wireless network (Wi-Fi) and has a built-in JavaScript capable web browser, you can use it to control your desktop computer with OKeez.
In the first version of OKeez that is currently being developed, so far we have concentrated on pervasive types of devices used as controllers, because of their wide availability and adoption. However, the concept of controllers is by no means limited to these types of devices. In the near future, the OKeez Beta also envisions support for device types that are currently entering the marketplace, such as Motion Control devices.
